Both of these works by Jan Dismas Zelenka are World Premiere Recordings. Missa Sanctae Caeciliae is his earliest mass composition, given in Dresden’s Catholic Court Church in November 1711. The brief Currite ad aras, ZWV 166 were composed in Vienna, shortly after his arrival there in 1716 where he studied with Johann Joseph Fux (c.1600 – 1741). Nibiru provide detailed programme notes and the sung texts in English. Recorded in Prague’s legendary Domovina Studios.
